How to place a bid

Six steps from account to award, with the costs named at each one.
1. Create an account
Email and mobile, then a one-time code. This costs nothing and commits you to nothing.
2. Verify your identity
Upload your Emirates ID, or a passport and visa page if you are not a resident. Verification is usually same-day.
3. Hold the entry deposit
Each lot names its own entry deposit. It is held against that lot, not spent, and released within three business days of the close if you do not win.
4. Bid
Bid in whole increments of the published minimum. The next valid bid is prefilled, and a confirmation shows the full amount before anything is submitted.
5. Watch the closing window
If a bid lands inside the auction's closing window, the lot extends. The window and the extension are printed on every auction page.
6. Settle
If you win, the payment window on the lot starts at the award. Commission, VAT and the administration fee are on the lot page, and the deposit is applied to what you owe.
What it costs
Bid amounts exclude VAT. VAT 5% applies to commission and fees. Every figure is calculated by BidBayt and shown in dirhams on each lot before you bid — never only as a percentage.
